At the Quantum Spin Tower
The Main Lobby of the Quantum Spin Tower holds the grandest speciment displays at the OIE Estate. The Heartwood of the ancient redwood tree hosts apophyllite colonies this year, and collections are still coming in.
The Conservatory
The Rock & Mineral Show has officially begun in the small wing of the OIE Conservatory. Our curators are completing their final inspections.
Residents still visit this wing throughout the busy seasons, and make our installations that much more special.
The Grand Hall
Rann E Goldrich’s private collection will be on display in the The Grand Hall of the main mansion. The Earthkeeper will be on display— along with other, mineral cabinets

Letter to the Editor — Conservatory Volunteer
The first feather landed in the herb garden yesterday morning.
I realize some guests may think this is an ordinary occurrence, but residents know better. Last year the flamingos arrived three days before the mineral exhibition opened and two days before the rose quartz display began humming.
I am simply reporting observations.

Excuse me—
Would someone please explain why the flamingos always begin appearing near the Conservatory approximately one week before rare minerals are put on display?
Last year they stood outside the entrance and stared at us.

No concerns at this time.
Note from a Resident of East Grounds
Every year people ask whether the flamingos arrive because of the Rock & Mineral Show.
I don't think that's correct.
I think the flamingos know something and we're just the last to hear about it.

Management insists they are migratory birds.
Management also insists the weather and mood are separate phenomena.
The Birdwatching Society remains unconvinced on both matters.

Quantum Spin Tower Observation Log
08:13 — Flamingo activity observed in northern airspace.
08:17 — Additional flamingos observed.
08:22 — Observers no longer discussing flamingos and are now discussing fluorite.
Correlation noted.

Grounds Department Memorandum
Residents are reminded that flamingo feathers found on Estate grounds should not be returned to the sky by hand.
We are still evaluating whether this improves or worsens migration behavior.
